Les Pierres du Vallat Gigondas
Blend: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault
Winemaking & ageing methods:
The low yields of our old vines (30 hl/ha) produce excellent concentration. Sustainable agricultural techniques, including minimal spraying, produce a pure, natural wine. The grapes are entirely picked by hand. Each variety is harvested at peak ripeness. The wine is fermented traditionally at a constant 30°C, and the wine spends about twenty days on the skins to extract color, aromas, and flavor. The various grape varieties are aged separately prior to blending.
Powerful, complex bouquet with concentrated aromas of black fruit and spice. Very smooth, full-bodied, and round on the palate. This Gigondas is both subtle and intense.
A well-balanced wine perfect with roast meats, cep purée, or a selection of mature cheeses.
Serving & storage temperature:
Best decanted and served at 16-18°C. This pleasant young wine will continue improving for 5 to 8 years.
