Metairie Sauvignon Blanc
Location: Corbières Region, near the city of Carcassonne in the South of France.
Terroir: Hillside terroirs above Carcassonne and the upper Aude valley.
Age of the vines: 10 to 25 years
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon
Both Bordeaux and the Loire Valley claim to its parenthood. Combined with Semillon and Muscadelle this grape yields honeyed Sauternes or elegant white Graves in Bordeaux. In the Loire, however, the Sauvignon performs solo. Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé are the vehicles for its powerful bouquet.
Vinification;: Skin contact followed by gentle pressing. 15 days fermentation in stainless steel between 59/61 °F.

Pale green / gold color. Citrus hints with blackcurrant, gooseberries and a hint of muscat. Lively and fresh.
Makes an elegant aperitif. Is ideal with grilled fish and shellfish.
Serve cold at 46°F.
Ageing potential: drink now and for the next 2 years
