Nicholas Wines

This first Nicolas stores, specializing in wines and spirits, opened in Paris in 1822, just a year after Napoleon’s death. Nicolas was the first to offer wine in a glass bottle sealed with a cork, a revolutionary concept. Nicolas wines imported into the United States are carefully selected to represent the major French appellations and reflect the unique characteristics of each varietal. Chateau D’Arcins in southern Medoc traces its history back to the 14th Century, while Chateau La Grange in the Bordeaux dates from 1631 and rather unusually plays music in the vineyard to keep the vines healthy.
