Established in 1941, Robertson had its humble beginnings in a charming missionary church on the outskirts of the town of Robertson, 100 miles northeast of Cape Town.

A group of grape-growing families came together and acquired the building to house a winery. Robertson Winery is now South Africa’s third largest, but the soul of the winery is still found 35 dedicated grape-growing member families, some of whom are 7th generation growers. From its inception, Robertson has produced wine of exceptional quality and individuality, and this tradition continues today under cellar master Bowen Botha.
